TThe covid 19 pandemics did not spare most industries, including the Heating as well as Air Conditioning world where I work, then for the first few months, my associate and I got multiple orders as multiple people were stuck at condo plus could now focus on repairing their a/c units, while others wanted professional A/C cleaning; However, the residential tasks were legitimately few plus could not sustain us for the next difficult months ahead, then i had to lay off a few of my workers after the seventh month because there was nothing much to do, then we do not get new assignments for both Heating as well as Air Conditioning repairs plus heating & cooling system replacements.
I had even contemplated shutting down the business before everything started picking again… This was a time I had to assess my business objectives plus strategize as I discovered how dependent my associate and I were on commercial Heating as well as Air Conditioning repairs plus service.
When offices plus companies closed down, my associate and I almost closed shop. I planned to diversify when things returned to normal. I will be expanding my Heating as well as Air Conditioning business to accommodate consultations, selling of units, plus service plus repair services for both residential plus commercial purchasers. This would shield my people plus me from ever getting to the vulnerable stage that my associate and I were in. I have been able to reinstate most of the workers’ let go when covid hit, plus my associate and I are slowly rebuilding the business back to its former glory. We are one of the few surviving companies that continue to hope others that it’s possible to come back strong. It is difficult not to cherish the lessons from these difficult times as a business.
