Locating the presents

We have two lovely sons who have always been absolutely curious boys.

They’ve always enjoyed playing hide plus seek, and looking for hidden objects.

It’s always been a challenge to find hiding locations for their anniversary plus Christmas presents! When they were toddlers, my friend and I could location them on the highest shelves of closets plus cupboards, but as they got older, my friend and I had to find other locations. They certainly found our hiding spots under beds plus in dresser drawers. So my friend and I turned to hiding presents in mislabeled boxes in the garage, under a pile of dirty laundry, inside suitcases, plus finally – in a neighbor’s garage… Each of these locations was somewhat successful – until they caught on to them! But my friend and I learned that presents should never be hid around the furnace, thanks to our Heating plus Air Conditioning serviceman who had come to repair the furnace one day, however he told us numerous reasons why this is never a great idea, then for one thing, there shouldn’t be clutter around the furnace, as Heating plus Air Conditioning systems require clearances plus ventilation for efficient heating plus cooling. Blocking the airflow shortens device life, plus it’s advocated that there be at least two feet of space around the heating plus cooling unit. Also, presents that are locationd near a furnace are absolutely a fire hazard. Naturally there is a certain amount of heat emitted from the furnace, plus most wrapping paper is highly flammable. And with a gas-ignited furnace such as my friend and I have, there is absolutely a spark plus flame that ignites the pilot light or burners, increasing the risk of a fire catching on the wrapping paper. Now that our sons are older, my friend and I no longer need to hide their presents because all that they want are gift certificates!
