My roommates get on my nerves sometimes. There are 5 of us renting this large house together. We all thought it would be better than the dorms because we could do things the way we wanted. Besides, we are all friends so what is the big deal? Well let me tell you, it is hard to stay friends with people once you are living with them. There were 6 of us but Benny backed out at the very beginning. He was the smart one. The problem is that none of us can agree on anything. We have chore charts but nobody follows them. That wouldn’t be a problem if anyone bothered to clean up after themselves. Then there is the issue with the HVAC system and the thermostat. I like to be freezing cold at night. Winter or Summer; it doesn’t matter. I want it cold so that I can sleep at night. Well, others in the house like it warm. We are too cheap to get zone control so we all just fight over the thermostat all the time. Finally we decided to have a thermostat chart where we each get to control the thermostat on certains days then we are supposed to leave it alone when it is not our day. Well that is going about as well as the chore chart is. Additionally, someone keeps burning incense near the intake vent so that all our rooms now smell terrible. That someone would be Mary. She can’t be bothered to clean. Instead, she just makes more of a stench trying to cover up the smells. I really need to leave this house and I need to do so soon.
