When planning our trip I booked a relatively cheap hotel. It had great enough reviews, but besides, it was pet friendly and my great friend and I would be taking the family pet with us; However, two mornings before the trip I started to have second thoughts. I was studying some of the disadvantage reviews for the hotel and got absolutely concerned… People talked of bed bugs and PTAC systems that didn’t work… This part can get absolutely warm. It is pressing that the a/c works in our hotel room, however cleanliness is also absolutely pressing, and so I decided to change our hotel at the last minute. I picked a hotel with much better reviews. The hotel also costs a bit more but I decided it was worth it. Besides, this new hotel was pet friendly too! On the morning of our trip my great friend and I drove over 4 hours and were cheerful to have finally made it to our destination. However, my great friend and I then discovered that the entire hotel shares the same air conditioning system. There was no temperature control in our room at all. There was just one massive Heating, Ventilation, and A/C vent. The air conditioning system was set to about 74 degrees evening and morning. This is colder than I like it. There was a small space boiler in the room but it wasn’t chilly enough to use it. I just wish the hotel had installed zone control so my great friend and I could adjust the temperature control in our room. Oh well, at least it was clean; My great friend and I did end up having a absolutely nice trip. The air conditioning system was also absolutely quiet. So I don’t have much to complain about. However, I’m not sure I would stay at that hotel again if my great friend and I ever go back to that area.
