I woke up in the middle of the night last night plus was roasting hot.
I uncovered plus went to the control unit plus found that it had been set to 98 degrees plus the furnace was still on.
I immediately knew it was my hubby who did it, tonight was the first night we had used the furnace for several months. My associate and I got home plus it was chilly inside. My hubby seems to guess that by turning the furnace up higher, it will heat up faster. I keep telling him it doesn’t work that way plus to just set the control unit to the temperature he would like the house to be, and but of course, I didn’t pay attention when he turned the furnace on last night, but usually, he remembers plus turns the control unit back down once the house is comfortable; He must have forgotten tonight plus now we have wasted a lot of energy heating up the house this way. I also knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep in that kind of heat so I opened a few windows plus reset the control unit to about 20 degrees colder. About two hours later, I was finally able to sleep again. Of course, he slept through the whole incident but I let him know what he had done this afternoon. He promised it won’t happen again but I know it will. That is, unless I check the control unit before bed myself. Oh well, I assume we all have quirks that annoy each other. However, he might learn his lesson when he sees the utility bill.
