I came apartment from work last week & saw water all over the floor in the hallway.
I followed the stream of water into the laundry room.
At first I thought that the washing component that was leaking so I called plumber. The plumber came out & informed me that the water was coming from the a/c & that I should call an Heating & A/C specialist instead. I was starting to get a bit frustrated at this point even though I called an Heating & A/C business & they came out instantly. I half expected the specialist to tell me to call yet another type of worker however he owned the problem & got right to work to repair the problem. It turned out that my a/c’s condensation pipe had backed up. The pipe usually funnels water outside of the house. When it became clogged up, the water could no longer escape outside & was now dumping all over the laundry room… Lucky for me, it was an simple fix. The Heating & A/C specialist also changed my air filter & advised a thorough vent cleaning & a few other service things. I hesitated at first but after that I couldn’t remember ever having had my Heating & A/C unit took care of before. This lack of basic service is what cause there to be water all over my floor. So I had the specialist go ahead & absolutely take care of my system while he was there. I could not suppose all of the junk he vacuumed out of my ventilation system. The air just feels & smells cleaner now & there is no longer water all over the floor.
