Have you ever met someone and you were immediately envious of their lifestyle? This was absolutely the case at a celebration I attended last weekwhen I met my friends roommate and she was telling us about all of the exotic locales she has traveled to.
As she was speaking, I was fascinated by the fact that she spent over half of the year out of the country and that she didn’t seem to mind the odd cultures she encountered. I think I am just the type of woman who wants everything to be the same all the time and I can’t see myself adapting to the changes that she had to deal with. I began to realize that most of the regions she travel to or ones that experienced summer time light conditions throughout most of the year! When I asked him about this, she said that she absolutely planned her trips so that she did not have to deal with any freezing hot and cold temperatures because she hated being cooped up in the condo with the heat on. winter time was her least favorite season so she did her best to avoid it at all cost. I asked him if the locales that she visited had air conditioner in her hotel rooms and she said several of them did not however she didn’t mind. She said that she will regularly choose being too tepid over being freezing and even if she has to indoor tepid humid conditions she is willing to do that. I am so envious about all of the beautiful locales that she has seen but I also like having my air conditioner on during the summer time so that I am not uncomfortable so I think I don’t want to trade lives with him after all.
