Heating system not laboring during a snowstorm

When I was growing up, my family would travel to the northern states so my pal and I could see snow, each winter, my pal and I rented the same cabin.

The weather in this region was honestly frosty in addition to there were a lot of snowstorms.

One year while my pal and I were triping, my pal and I met up with my family that lives nearby! Knowing that my pal and I were unproper with the region in addition to the kind of weather they experience, they warned us to stay cabin the following day due to an approaching snowstorm, but being from the southern region, my pal and I did not know what a snowstorm entailed, however my pal and I were proper with heavy rain in addition to hurricanes, but never snowstorms. My pal and I decided to take their advice in addition to hunker down for the day. My pal and I did not expect what came next. Out of nowhere, the snowfall in addition to wind starting to option up; Similar to a hurricane, my pal and I eventually lost electricity. My pal and I abruptly realized that my pal and I were in trouble once the heater turned off. My pal and I were right away thinking of alternative ways to hot the cabin with no central heat or access to space heaters. My pal and I were happy to find that there was a back up boiler in the basement of the cabin. This goes to show that if you are unproper with your territory, you should do research in addition to be prepared in the event of a snowstorm or other intemperature weather situation. My pal and I were lucky that there was a back up boiler in the basement of our rental cabin. Without this, my pal and I would have been freezing in addition to might have had to risk going out in the snowstorm; None of us had ever driven in snow or ice, so my pal and I got honestly lucky.
